Marcus Mumford‘s debut solo monitor, “Cannibal,” received some very unique remedy for his new video. How unique? Properly, he enlisted none aside from Steven Spielberg. This can be a first for the Academy Award-winning profession: this was the primary music video he’s ever directed.
Shot solely on an iPhone, the video was created by solely 4 individuals, who Mumford credited on his Instagram. Spielberg’s spouse, Kate Capshaw, was the video’s co-producer, artwork director, and dolly grip, whereas The Nice Gatsby actress (and Mumford’s spouse) Carey Mulligan took on its costuming and sound. Kristie Macosko Krieger was a producer and the videographer of its behind-the-scenes. Mumford then recognized himself as “some chancer mug” because the monitor’s performer.
“On Sunday third July in a highschool fitness center in New York, Steven Spielberg directed his first music video, in a single shot, on his telephone. Kate Capshaw was the almighty dolly grip,” Mumford wrote of the video on Instagram.
