The 2021 CMF Artists are Connaught Brass, Ensemble Hesperi, sopranos Harriet Burns, Laura Perešivana, and Olivia Boen, saxophonist Helena Kay, percussionist James Larter, cellist Pleasure Lisney, flutist Sirius Chau, pianist Victor Lim, and violinist Yume Fujise.
Chosen from a recording-breaking variety of candidates, these eleven artists had been chosen to be a part of the ninth consecutive two-year program. The artists had been chosen because of their excellent expertise, no matter instrument or style.
Dr. Clare Taylor, Managing Director of CMF stated, “Because the music trade comes again to life after the pandemic, CMF acquired extra functions than ever from exceptionally completed younger skilled performers. We’re thrilled to be able to enroll extra soloists and ensembles on the Artist Programme than ever. This can be a time of surprising challenges, but in addition of nice alternatives and we vastly sit up for serving to the 2021 CMF Artists as they reconnect and set up their careers.”
The judges included Sholto Kynoch, Howard Williams, Seb Scotney, Equipment Downes, Leslie East, Mats Lidstrom, Louise Williams, Joan Rodgers, William Dazeley, Iain Burnside, Paul Edlin, and William Fong.
